The Role
As the Head of Machine Learning, you will be the founding leader of the company’s AI function. Working closely with the co-founders, you will take full ownership of applied machine learning research in reinforcement learning and LLM development. You’ll be responsible for building frontier AI technologies from scratch, developing feedback loops that optimize LLMs for real-world applications, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in AI.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead applied ML research in LLMs and reinforcement learning.
- Build and scale AI models from the ground up.
- Work directly with the co-founders to define the company’s AI roadmap.
- Develop cutting-edge methodologies that improve AI efficiency and accessibility.
- Contribute to open-source AI projects and stay at the forefront of AI advancements.
Who You Are
- Proven experience as a technical lead on LLM or reinforcement learning projects.
- Strong background in building AI models from scratch.
- PhD in AI, ML, or a related field (preferred, but not required).
- Active contributor to open-source AI projects.
- Passionate about frontier AI research and shaping the next phase of innovation.
